Front deck with large bay window in Queenslander renovation

Queenslander Renovation Woolloongabba Project 1

Traditional Queenslander Renovation Woolloongabba

Our clients required a complete renovation and extension of their 100 year old Queenslander, knowing it was especially important to ensure  the house maintained it’s true heritage we included traditional elements carrying this throughout the build.

VJ walls with breezeways, decorative timber cornice, skirting and architraves were matched from the period.  To continue the traditional theme the balustrade and doors were specially selected and made to order.

It was equally important to have open plan living and extended indoor outdoor living for the family, this was achieved by adding decks to both the front and back of the property and opening the living and dining areas allowing them to flow from the kitchen.

By using large sliding doors we achieved  a seamless integration of the indoor outdoor space and created a light filled home with the use large windows throughout.  The colours were simple yet elegant, pairing white walls and ceilings with a hint of colour in the black accents create a classic look,  adding a modern kitchen and bathroom finishes this beautiful  period home.

We engaged Urban Scene to undertake a major renovation on a Queenslander. We could not have been happier with the quality of work and the high degree of professionalism and communication. We would be happy to recommend Jason and Chantal to anyone looking for a quality, reliable and professional builder.
